Frequently Asked Questions

  • Beacon Household Staffing was built in response to a gap we saw in the industry: families wanted a more thoughtful, relationship-driven approach to household staffing—one that felt personal, transparent, and truly supportive from start to finish.

We intentionally work with a limited number of families at a time so we can offer a highly customized search, clear communication, and ongoing guidance throughout the placement. Every match begins with a deep understanding of your household, values, and long-term goals—not just a job description.

Our candidates are exceptionally vetted, experienced, and chosen not only for their credentials, but for their professionalism, warmth, and ability to integrate seamlessly into a home. We prioritize long-term fit, stability, and trust—so families feel confident welcoming someone into their daily lives.

At Beacon, success isn’t measured by speed alone—it’s measured by placements that last and relationships that feel aligned.

  • At Beacon, every search is highly customized. We hand-select candidates through a tailored recruitment process built around your family’s specific needs. While we maintain strong ongoing relationships with exceptional caregivers, we also actively recruit for each individual role to ensure you’re meeting candidates chosen specifically for your home and values.

  • Beacon placements typically include an extended replacement period, often up to six months from a nanny’s start date, reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, lasting matches. If a placement isn’t the right fit during this time, we will reactivate your search and present new candidates at no additional placement cost.

Replacement terms may vary based on the role, location, and structure of the placement and are reviewed in detail during the consultation process. While our placements are highly successful and this guarantee is rarely needed, it is offered to provide peace of mind and confidence as your family settles into a new arrangement.

  • During your consultation, we’ll help you understand what a competitive and appropriate compensation package looks like based on your family’s specific needs. Because every role is unique, compensation will vary depending on responsibilities, schedule, location, and the caregiver’s experience.
